Squad Goals All Out

“The nice thing about teamwork is that you always have others on your side.”

– Margaret Carty

So there was a story…

There was a woman hungry for success for whom winning was everything.

And for her, success was measured by just winning.

One day, the woman was preparing herself for a running competition in her school.

Herself and two other women were to compete in the race.

A large crowd had gathered in the arena to witness the competition.

The race commenced and it was looking like a level heat at the finish line.

The woman ran hard and called on her determination, strength and power.

She took the winning line and was first to finish the race.

The crowd cheered and waved at the woman.

“Race again”, pleaded the woman.

Then, a disabled woman stepped forward and challenged the winner.

The race began again and she was still the winner.

But the crowd was silent and showed no sentiment towards the winner.

Then she asked, “Why are the people not joining me in my success?”

The challenger replied, “Let’s race again, but this time let us finish it together.”

As the race began, the woman ran slowly to the finish line with the challenger.

And they finished the race together- the crowd stood up and cheered loudly.

I was the woman in the story. When I look back …

For that race I have won much more than in any race I have ever competed before.

When you are part of a team, often times competition arises.

When it happens, do you think of the person competing with you?

If they are weaker than you, do you help them get across the finish line?

Do you often finish together as a team? Or do you prefer winning alone?

Winning together has a much greater impact than winning just for yourself.

Run forward, but you do not have to run alone.

Don’t forget- it is not important if you win or lose,

What's important is how you compete in the race.

If your team has doubts, keep believing.

Even if you don’t see the results right away, keep MOVING FORWARD.

Even if you don’t see the results for a very long time, keep moving forward, but PIVOT on your approach. DO NOT STOP.

“What if the results don’t come?” They are not going to come, if you quit.

“We are tired.” Keep moving forward.

“We can’t see any results.” Pivot and Keep moving forward.

“We don’t know where to start.”

Just START. Do something. Take that first step.

Every step you take adds up.

Sooner or later, you will look back and see that you are already at the top of the staircase.

It doesn’t matter if you can’t see the top from where you are right now.

Just keep in mind that if you keep climbing, you will SOON be exactly where you need to be.

People don’t make it because they QUIT.

Yes, you have tried everything, but have the heart when things get hard.

WINNERS DO NOT QUIT. All members of PSA do not quit.

Hard or easy,

Slow or fast,

Together, we will reach the finish line proud and we can tell ourselves that “WE DID IT.”

Remember, we are PIONEER. Together, we change lives.

That is so true before and now. United we stand, divided we fall
